Many of us attempt to find direction by searching externally for the answers to life's questions. Finding answers by asking others is only partially helpful. Since every one of us is different, with our own personal histories, senses of right and wrong, and unique perspectives on the world that define our realities, other people's opinions might not fit our particular outlook. When we turn inward to find the answers to our personal questions, we discover an inner compass that always knows what we need. You will also discover when you begin to look within, that you have always had access to this aspect of yourself. Once you discover how to hear, believe, and accept your inner wisdom, you will be able to confidently navigate your life's journey.

Trusting your inner guidance might feel strange at first, especially if you grew up in a place where asking others for advice was common. Each of us has a different way of accessing our inner knowing. All we have to do is relearn how to listen. Be patient as it will take some time to retrain yourself to hear, receive, and follow your own guidance.

If you are unsure whether listening to your inner guidance will be dependable, consider a time when you followed your inner guidance and everything went according to plan. Consider how the answers seemed to come to you, how they made you feel as you considered them, and what happened as a result of taking this advice.

You can prevent going against what you instinctively know is a better judgment by simply having faith in it. Because we ill often use our inner knowing, we doubt ourselves and act contrary to what we know to be true, and we can easily veer off course. Have faith that when you look within, you are consulting with your best advisor for the solutions to your life's puzzles. The hows and whys of your life are unique to you. You can find the answers you're looking for once you begin to seek them inwardly.
