A Series of Unexplained Events: Overlaid Realities
Part 2: Sitting on my bed, I ended the call with my friend. Barely 8pm, feeling good, I couldn't explain the next event. Like a VR headset was slipped over my head, I saw an overlay of two realities.

Two realities co-existed within my bedroom. There was my bedroom. And there I also was, traveling at speed down a sepia-toned tunnel. And both realities I experienced at the same time. The tunnel had a transparency to it and was overlaid on top of my bedroom. Yet I felt the experience of traveling down this tunnel, and still fully aware that I was in my room.
I could see my room and could hear people walking around the house and the TV on in the distance. I turned my head and looked around my room, but no matter where I turned my head, I was simultaneously also in a tunnel traveling at what felt like over 150km. I was the passenger, and something else was in control ("driving"). The tunnel experience ended when I was about to crash into the wall of the tunnel.
I call my unexplained events, experiences. And since this experience, I have no answer as to why it happened. I wish I could use the reasons of fatigue, sleep paralysis, nightmares, stress, anxiety, drugs.... any of those legitimate reasons. But I can't.
And what took my focus afterward was the pursuit of why. What was the reason? Was there a message in it? If so, what was the message? Did I create the experience or was it imposed upon me? Am I special? Is it an alternate reality? Is it a past life relived? Is it a possible future? Internet searching brought up no solid answer, and sharing the story with others brought interest, entertainment, bewilderment, envy or disbelief -- but no answers.
This experience was over 5 years ago now, and I still have no answer. I actually gave up trying to figure it out. My end resolve was to accept it happened, and if the answer came it would do so on its own accord. At the very least, I'm a more conscientious driver.
If any of this sounds familiar, or you have possible reasoning, please reach out and share.
